Evening with the Stars invitation

This project was invitation to a fundraising Gala event for a nonprofit client, Indianapolis City Ballet. Only the main invitation is shown. To keep this project feeling elevated and luxurious, we used spot color metallic inks on black uncoated paper to let them shine. The front cover features a black gloss foil-stamped deboss finishing technique for a little something extra. We saved money by limiting ink colors and selecting a paper the printer had in house. Printing by Faulkenberg in Franklin, IN. Finishing by D.E. Baugh in Indianapolis, IN.

The photography was edited in reverse (like a negative) and I never got to really see it until it went to press because the ink is the highlights and the paper is the shadows. It was worth the risk and the result is what I wanted. This also happens to be one of my favorite ballet dancers so that was a fun part of the project too!
